    Important – UHC Vision/Spectera Coverage Change 

    On behalf of Human Resources

    The Employees Retirement System (ERS) of Texas now offers a State of Texas vision plan that is comparable to the UHC Spectera plan that the college offers.  Due to legislative restrictions, we cannot offer competing vision plans; therefore, employees who are currently enrolled in the  UHC Vision/Spectera plan will have their coverage terminated effective 8/31/18.

    If you would like to continue supplemental vision coverage, you will have the opportunity to elect the State of Texas vision plan through ERS during our annual enrollment period this summer.  More information regarding the dates and times of annual enrollment will be released in the coming months.

    “Let’s Talk Benefits” Sessions Coming Soon! 

    Summer Benefits Enrollment is just around the corner!  This year enrollment is scheduled for July 9 through July 22.  In order to prepare you for this year’s enrollment, the Benefits team is offering several Let’s Talk Benefits Refresher sessions on all 3 campuses, as well as at the District office.

    As you may have heard, for anyone currently enrolled in a HealthSelect of Texas plan with United Healthcare, the carrier will be changing to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas effective September 1.  Make sure to come to one of the sessions to hear what this means for you!  In addition to reviewing what the change in provider means, we will also be discussing the many other great benefits available to you.

    Make sure to register in Cornerstone using HREM 3006!

    Cornerstone Training Sessions 

    San Jacinto College Employees,

    Have you heard that Cornerstone is replacing SuccessFactors and SOAR? We are excited to be launching Cornerstone this Fall, and we want you to come experience the new system.

    Please register for the appropriate training listed below via SuccessFactors SPARK Learning. It is especially important that leaders pre-register so that your login information can be created prior to your session.

    HRCS 1001 – Cornerstone System Overview for Leaders

    Join us as we provide an overview of the Cornerstone system for leaders. You will get a preview of the Learning and Performance Management modules where we demonstrate how to access training content and build your KPIs. You will also get hands-on experience in the Recruitment module as we provide step-by-step guidance during a learn at your own pace open lab session. You will use the system to move through the hiring process and complete activities such as requesting a requisition, approving a requisition to be posted, screening and interviewing applicants, and hiring a new employee.

    Human Resources Announcement- Cornerstone OnDemand software 

    Hello San Jacinto College Community!

    We want to let you know about something new coming your way throughout 2016.

    As you know, in today’s digital age, technology is constantly changing and we must be flexible and open to new innovative opportunities.  From a software perspective, Human Resources has been operating several functions using different software systems (SOAR, Banner, SuccessFactors).  None of the current software has a complete solution that integrates well with Banner and provides support from a single vendor.     District offices ‘return home’ from South Campus to renovated facilities 

    Due to renovations at the District Office West Building, several departments temporarily operated out of the South Campus Student Center. The renovations are finished, and the departments recently “returned home.”

    On April 10, the Human Resources department hosted the annual San Jacinto College Service Awards banquet at the Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake Hotel. This year’s award recipients included:
