South Campus wraps up Women’s History Month in March

On March 25th, as part of the month long recognition of National Women’s History Month, the South Campus Women’s History Month committee hosted an art exhibit and reception entitled “Weaving the Women of Fine Arts.” Women Artists that contributed their work for the show were Professor Lou Brock, Department Chair Christina Potts, and Lab Supervisor Mary Smith.  Dance Professor, Jaime Williams was also in attendance.  The event provided everyone the opportunity to meet and mingle and view some great art.  There were over fifty in attendance.  The incredible refreshments were provided by the Culinary Arts program at North Campus under the direction of Professor Timothy Banks.  Attendees enjoyed sesame chicken skewers, mini shredded barbeque chicken sandwiches, and meatballs.  For dessert, there were platters of grapes, strawberries, and French macaroons. All the food was prepared and served by North Campus Culinary Arts students. The South Campus Women’s History Month Committee and the Women of Integrity Program would like to thank all those that attended and made this inaugural event such a success, and in particular Loura De Los Santos and Denton Davies.
