Martin Wnuk’s “Karmic Residue” Art Exhibition- March 26 – April 16


South Campus art professor, Martin Wnuk, will feature his exhibition, “Karmic Residue,” in the South Campus art gallery room, S15.112 from March 26 – April 16. “Karmic Residue” will present a select group of Wnuk’s recent paintings and mixed media drawings.

His recent exhibitions include a one person exhibition at Lee Collage, Baytown, Texas in 2012 and several invitational exhibitions including the 26th Annual Dia de los Muertos Exhibition, Lawndale Art center, Houston Texas 2013. Recent Competitive Exhibitions include “The Big Show” at the Lawndale Art Center, Houston Texas in 2007, 2010, 2012, and 2013, The “Open Door Juried Exhibition” with three works accepted at the Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake, Nassau Bay, Texas in 2011 and one of the top six awards at “The Body Image Show” also at the Arts Alliance Center at Clear Lake. He was also included in  gallery group exhibitions at the Avis Frank Gallery, Houston Texas in 2011 and 2012.

He was a Level 2 Finalist in the $50,000 Hunting Art Prize in 2013 and is again a Level 2 Finalist in 2015. The Hunting Art Prize is sponsored by the International Oil Services company Hunting PLC. The Prize is open to Texas Artists 18 years of age or older. Its $50,000 award is historically the most generous annual award in North America for painting and drawing.
