SJC employee photograhpy club launches soon

A new, BalanceU San Jacinto College Employee Photography Club will have an inaugural meeting on Friday, May 16 from 12:30-2:00pm at Central Campus in the ILC Kaleidoscope room (C-1.102).  Bring your lunch with you and start the first half-day Friday of the Summer by enjoying photography discussion with friends and colleagues!  The club is open to all current college employees, retirees, and employee’s spouses and children (minors must be accompanied by their guardian at all times) with an interest in photography.  Photographers at all levels of experience and proficiency – novice to professional – are welcome.

This first meeting will be to evaluate employee interest, to have general introductions and share interests, to discuss the future potential of an employee photography club, and to share and discuss a few photos in a way that allows everyone to improve their photography skills and knowledge.

If you’d like to share a photo to be discussed by the group at this first meeting, upload (preferably) your photo to your personal Flickr account and tag it: SJCEPC and 20140516.   All photos are welcome, but if you need inspiration or a theme, consider a creative photography challenge centered around “Mom” since we’re following Mother’s Day.  You may also email your photo to Chris Duke or David LeMaster; we will upload it to the Flickr feed for you; that will allow the photo to appear in this search:  If you plan to attend the meeting, watch that link for photos that your colleagues and friends are sharing!
