West Nile Virus Prevention Resources

Harris County Public Health and Environment Services (HCPHES) reports that Texas is experiencing an increase in West Nile Virus activity this year.   While the number of human cases of West Nile Virus in Harris County is not at the level of other parts of Texas, we are seeing a rise of West Nile Virus circulating throughout the county in mosquitoes and birds.

In an effort to ensure that the public has appropriate prevention information and to encourage them to protect themselves, HCPHES Office of Public Information has generated the following West Nile Virus documents in English and Spanish:

HCPHES is requesting that jurisdictions and partner agencies please disseminate, post, and/or adopt these documents for their online or print publications as they deem appropriate.  For more information on the West Nile Virus or to download these public education resources, go to 2012 West Nile Virus Response.
Thank you!
