Toastmasters Club meeting Feb. 16

Toastmasters Club meeting – Public Speaking and More

Do you want to improve your communications skills and gain more confidence speaking to groups?  Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped more than 4 million people become more confident speakers and leaders.

The San Jacinto College Toastmasters Club is seeking people to join and bring the group size to over 20. The group meets weekly on Thursdays in the late afternoon for about 60 to 90 minutes.  There is no instructor. Instead, these interactive meetings have participants deliver impromptu discussions on assigned topics in relation to timekeeping, grammar, and parliamentary procedure.

Toastmasters will help student, faculty, and staff members prepare for job interviews and become leaders in the business world.  The organization will also assist ESL students and provide faculty members with ideas on how to make classes more exciting and dynamic.

Date:     Thursday, Feb. 16
Time:     4 p.m. To 5 p.m.
Place:    Building C1 in Room C1.109
