JOHN LIVINGSTON ELAM, III, passed away on November 19, 2010. John was born on November 9, 1947, in Bryan, Texas, to Dorothy and John Elam.He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Karen. John also leaves sister Jana and brother Gregory. John’s special joy was being with nephew Cullen and niece Caroline, children of Myra and Conrad Moren. Other survivors are Glenda and Don Floehr and their son Philip Floehr.John was an ardent supporter of Baylor University where he received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in education. After years in the technology industry, he established John Elam Landscapes which he successfully operated for more than two decades. John was a Bible scholar and taught Sunday School for many years at Tallowood Baptist Church. John had a great interest in and knowledge of history, particularly WW II.Friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, November 23, from 4-6 p.m. and to attend the Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 24, at 10 a.m. Visitation and the Memorial Service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home.
