Today’s helpful Web site tip: How to Search for People

There are two ways to search for people:
If you know the name of the person you are searching for, click on the light blue “Directories” link at the top right of each page.  This opens a directory listing of employees that are sorted into 4 categories: North Campus, Central Campus, South Campus and Administration.  Click on the alphabet letters at the top of the directory to display entries that are sorted by last name and use the arrows at the right of each column to scroll through the entries.
Once you have found the individual you are searching for click on their name to display their contact information.

2.  If you are searching for employees of a particular department or position but do not have a specific name in mind, the Search Function is designed to assist you.   The new San Jacinto College Website has a very powerful search function that is designed to put information at your fingertips.  The search bar can be found on every page, on the right side in the grey header bar.

For example, if you are looking for someone to contact about nursing, type “nursing” in the search bar, then press “Enter.”

Once the search results display, you will see four tabs at the top of the search results that say, Web Pages, People, Places & Documents.  Clicking on “People” will display a list of contact names for employees in the nursing field.
