North campus President Dr. Allatia Harris threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the North campus men’s baseball team season home opener, played recently at the upgraded John Ray Harrison Field.

The baseball team has high hopes for another successful season and was ranked second in the nation when the season began. The North campus baseball program has qualified for the JUCO World Series 20 times, more often than any other two-year college in the nation. The program has also won more national championships (five) than any other two-year program in the nation.

The team’s record (as of Feb. 12) is 8-1 (all non-conference games).
