Playing on the national stage

Yankees Anthem .3North campus music instructor Carol Morgan (at left in photo above) recently performed the National Anthem as a member of the DIVA Jazz Orchestra for the New York Yankees game at Yankee stadium. In addition to her teaching career, Carol performs professionally and is highly regarded as a skilled and innovative trumpet player. To be included with the DIVA group is considered a great honor and accomplishment. The all-female group has been performing worldwide since 1992, and in 2006, DIVA was voted one of the best big bands in the world in both DownBeat magazine’s annual Critic’s and Reader’s Polls. Congratulations Carol, and keep up the good work!
