Nanotechnology Research Experience for Community College Students (Nano REU)

Nano REU is a 10-week program for students enrolled in Greater Houston Area schools. Students will work in independent research projects in a Rice University nanotechnology research laboratory and attend seminars and presentations based on Rice research. Students will also present their research as a poster at the Smalley-Curl Institute Summer Research Colloquium. Students can earn up to $6000 in stipends!

NEWT Research Experience for Community College Students (NEWT REU)

NEWT REU is a 10-week program for students enrolled in schools in the Houston, TX; El Paso, TX; and Phoenix, AZ areas. Selected students will work in research labs focused on water treatment at either Rice University, the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), or Arizona State University (ASU). Students will also present their research as a poster at the Smalley-Curl Institute Summer Research Colloquium. Non-Houston students will receive travel support to present their research poster in Houston, TX and can earn up to $6000 in stipends!
