Students represent San Jacinto College at the Chicano Leadership Summit in Ft. Worth

Saul Zarco and Dina Castillo recently traveled with six San Jacinto College students to the Chicano Leadership Summit in Ft. Worth. This event was coordinated by the Texas Association of Chicanos in Higher Education (TACHE) and the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). The conference featured a number of young professionals and community leaders from across Texas who presented their research and work. The goal was to inspire all attendees to become leaders of their communities and to help shape an equal Texas.

“The conference was very eye opening for many of our students, and they left even more inspired to continue their education beyond a bachelor’s degree,” said Saul.
