San Jacinto Day Battle Reenactment and Festival

San Jacinto College will be helping to celebrate the 182nd anniversary of the Battle of San Jacinto, Saturday, April 21. As we have done for the past seven years, San Jacinto College will be helping with the many volunteer duties it takes to run a free event for approximately 15,000 people. We have people who volunteer in the children’s crafts area, making history fun for many first-time, yet future, historians!

Others work in the information booth or with the monument’s membership drive. Still others help with set up and take down or with the bus pick-up and drop-off. Without these many different jobs and the people to work them, the San Jacinto Day Festival could not be a success. In thanks for all of our volunteer efforts, the college is listed in all of the publicity for the event.

Would you to consider volunteering at the San Jacinto Day Festival. All you need to do is fill out the form and return it to Eddie Weller, Ph.D., Distinguished Professor of History at eddie.weller@sjcd.edu.

Over the last several years hundreds of members of the SJC family have participated in this event; will you consider giving a few hours to celebrate our state’s fascinating heritage?
