San Jacinto College Organization Fair – La Porte High School

A San Jacinto College Organization Fair was held Tuesday, Nov. 13, at La Porte High School.

Hundreds of students were greeted by the sound of steel drums as they walked down the hallways to the cafeteria for lunch. Entering the main foyer, a trivia wheel and buzzers were set up and ready for the students to try their college knowledge in exchange for prizes.

The goal of the event was to introduce prospective San Jac students to college life and more that the College has to offer outside of the classroom. By engaging high school students early on in their college and career exploration, students can spend more time prior to high school graduation thinking about their futures, hopefully gaining a clearer vision of a pathway.

Thirteen San Jac student organizations were represented, highlighting opportunities for engagement in everything from program specific groups to religious groups. A special thank you to the following organizations for their participation in this San Jacinto College Shared Educational Planner event:

• Baptist Student Ministries
