New Student Orientation is off
to an energetic start at all three
San Jacinto College campuses
as students learn about student
support services and tips on
making the most of their college
experience.
Orientation became a
requirement this year to assist
students in their adjustment into
a new college atmosphere – in
hopes of increased retention.
Each student receives a student
success manual, a campus
tour, attends a resource fair
with department and office
representatives and a tutorial

Parents are also invited to attend
a non-required session designed
to provide them with information
about college policies, the
Family Educational Rights and
Privacy Act and what to expect
when their child enters his or her
college years.
Our Student Success Center
counselors and students are
working hard throughout the
entire summer to ensure our
students are well prepared for
success this academic year.
Thank you for all you do here at
San Jacinto College!
