It’s our day! College Community Day 2012

San Jacinto College held its annual College Community Day on Feb. 23. Faculty and staff began their morning congregating at the Pasadena Convention Center for presentations from the Institutional Research Office, aSPIRE, on retention and persistence and the data teams from each campus. Chancellor Dr. Brenda Hellyer talked about the external awareness/perception survey and the internal Organizational Wellness Instrument (OWI) survey.

Following a lunch break, everyone met at the Central Campus to attend workshops on a variety of topics surrounding the four strategic goals (Student Success, P-16 Pipeline, Workforce and Economic Development, and Our People) and the activities of Our College. The afternoon was topped off with refreshments and cake to celebrate the College’s 50th anniversary.
