Condolence

Our deepest sympathies to Faye Murphy, on the recent passing of her brother, Logan “Wayne” Lacy.

Mr. Lacy was born on May 27, 1936 and passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 in Tyler, Texas.

Mr. Lacy served in the US Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and retired after 21 years of service. He graduated from Texas A&M with degrees in Agriculture Education and Plant Pathology. He also taught agriculture in College Station and at Kilgore College.

Mr. Lacy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jane, son, John and wife Kellie, daughter, Karen and husband, David, three sisters, two brothers-in-law, grandson Logan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home in Overton, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Overton, Texas. A military graveside service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Bryan City Cemetery in Bryan, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cal Farley Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas or Hospice of East Texas in Tyler, Texas.
