    Support our student veterans

Dear Friends of San Jacinto College,

Our veterans have given themselves in service for our freedom. For the last year, San Jacinto College and its partners have been creating a fund to build Centers of Excellence for Veteran Student Success on each campus to give back to these warriors.   With a total project cost of $600,000, the SJC community, architects, contractors, and vendors have supplied nearly $300,000 worth of labor, materials, and facility space.  At this point, we are half way to our goal.

    Now, we need your help!

    Please remember our veterans.

You can view a rendering of the Centers of Excellence for Veteran Student Success at:

Visit the San Jacinto College Foundation website at sanjacfoundation.org to find out how you can help support our student veterans.

*Note:   To honor your veteran on our Wall of Honor include name(s) in the comment section with your gift.
Payroll deduction is available for SJC employees.

SJC Foundation Golf Tournament ball drop winner!

Judy Hendley, North Campus department chair for consumer services was the winner of the ball drop at this year’s SJC Foundation Golf Tournament. Hendley has been with the College for 30 years, and this year was the first time she decided to play in the ball drop. “The foundation made it very easy to purchase the tickets with the automatic payroll deduction,” said Hendley. “It is a  great fund raiser for student scholarships, so either way I knew it was for a great cause.” Hendley was presented with her check of $2,535 from Foundation executive director for advancement, Ruth Keenan.

GG GroupSan Jacinto College Foundation Board Chairman Wayne Webb, Janis Bailey, Chancellor Dr. Brenda Hellyer, and Constable Bill Bailey welcomed a huge crowd of people to the very successful Gumbo Gala, held recently at the Pasadena Convention Center.

The event, which featured music by the River Road Boys and delicious shrimp gumbo prepared by Constable Bailey’s Pct. 8 employees, was a fundraiser to provide student scholarships for San Jacinto College.
