    May 2019 Board Meeting Recoginitions 

    The San Jacinto College Board of Trustees recognized several student organizations who placed at regional-level competitions. San Jacinto College Foundation scholarship donor, PVF Roundtable was also recognized for its longtime partnership with the College in providing scholarships for students in the pipefitting, welding, and advanced manufacturing programs.     The San Jacinto College Board of trustees recognized the South Campus SkillsUSA cosmetology and engineering design graphics teams for placing at the regional competition and advancing to the nationals that will be held in Louisville, Kentucky in June.     EDG Students Win Silver for Cell Phone Drying Device at Skills USA Competition 

    The San Jacinto College Engineering Design Graphics team of Robert (Rob) Ross, Van Troung, and Richard Hermoso took second place nationally with their cell phone drying device at the 2014 SkillsUSA Championships.  Their device dries out cell phones using a hairdryer and de-humidifier after the phone has been dropped in water.
