North Campus stages successful Fall Fest

North Campus faculty and staff members turned out in force for the recent Sheldon ISD Fall Fest, held at C.E. King Middle School. Hundreds of people of all ages from nearby communities attended the event, which showcased academic and technical programs, sports teams, student clubs, and mentoring programs available at the North Campus.

Kudos to the main event coordinators, including Lauren Parish, Veronica Benitez, Erin Lewis, and Christine Torres. Kudos also to all the others who helped to coordinate the fun and informative event, and to all the faculty and staff members who manned the informational tables at the successful event.

The San Jacinto College Employee Photography Club will meet on Friday, June 20 from 12:30-2:00pm at Central Campus in the ILC Kaleidoscope room (C-1.102).  Bring your lunch!  The club is open to all current college employees, retirees, and employee’s spouses and children (minors must be accompanied by their guardian at all times) with an interest in photography.  Photographers at all levels of experience and proficiency – novice to professional – are welcome.

The meeting will cover two topics.  BRING YOUR CAMERAS!
    1.       Share & Learn and Challenge photos.  We will discuss photos uploaded to the respective albums on the group site: Share & Learn 20140620 and the 20140519 Challenge: Self Portrait albums.  To maximize your opportunity to learn, share one of your photos for which you do not have any ideas on how it may be improved; any suggestions you get about your photo will be something new to you!  You may also upload your photos to flickr and email the link, or you may email a photo to chris.duke@sjcd.edu.
    2.       We will have an open question and answer.  Have your most pressing “How do I…” question ready for the group; we’ll do our best to answer your questions.

Save the date!  Future photography club meetings will be: Friday, July 18, and Friday, August 8.

If you have questions about the Employee Photography Club, contact a club facilitator:
