New Advisor/Recruiters

The Office of Student Recruitment Initiatives is pleased to announce the hire of three new Advisor/Recruiters.

Gladys Arizu is joining the South campus recruitment team. She comes to San Jacinto College from the University of Houston.

Two in-house hires were made to fill the positions at the North campus. Shannon Hinton and Chantee Myles both accepted positions as advisor/recruiters.

Chantee joins us after working as a representative in the call center, and Shannon joins us after working as a part-time advisor in the Center for Student Development. We are happy to have them as part of our team!

Fall 2009 Semester Update

It has been a busy semester in the Office of Recruiting Initiatives.

After an increase in enrollment for the Fall 2009 semester, the office and the recruiters are working hard to keep up the pace for the Spring 2010 semester.

Below is data highlighting some contacts out of the office during the Fall semester. Data runs from 9-1-2009 through 12-1-09.

Acceptance Letters mailed out = 4,123

Information Packets mailed out = 589

Mail-outs to area Seniors = 4,948

Spring 2010 enrollment reminder e-mails = 20,258

Recruiting events (including schools and community events) = 103
