North campus culinary arts students combined education and entertainment during a recent field trip to Disney World.

“The trip offers students the opportunity to travel outside of Texas, not just to have fun at Disney World, but to also see outstanding hospitality and culinary companies operating with high and consistent product and service standards,” commented Steve Rudd, program director of the North campus culinary arts department. “It is a fun trip, and also enables students to be creative in thinking of potential job opportunities in the culinary industry.”

Culinary arts instructor Tim Banks served as faculty advisor and chaperone during the trip.

The event is a highlight for students who are members of the North campus Culinary Club. The club meets twice a month and participates in Gator Fest, an annual campus-wide activity that showcases student clubs and organizations.
