African-American Read-in

In conjunction with African-American History Month, the North Campus recently hosted the fourth annual African-American Rad-in, featuring readings of literary works of noted African-American authors, as well as readings of key historical narratives.
People contributing to the educational and inspirational multi-media presentation included Lamar McWaine, Dr. RaShaunda Sterling, Jerry Wallace, Sherron Lux, Dr. Karen Hattaway, Dedra White, Dr. DeRhonda McWaine, Dr. Richard Bailey, Betty Malveo, Serita Dickey, Karyn Jones, Ronald Hopkins, Sandra Curry, and Dr. Allatia Harris.
Those attending were treated to samples of genuine soul food (turnip greens, corn fritters, black-eyed peas, fried chicken, fried catfish, and corn pone), prepared by a culinary arts team under the direction of Steve Rudd, Sean Perrodin, and Donna Jones.
