Employees of the College’s call center recently went all out to celebrate Customer Service Week, a national event celebrated by many offices every year. Customer Service Week honors employees who serve and support, and recognizes the importance of customer service. “It definitely boosts morale and enhances teamwork,” commented Angela Rhodes, office manager at the College’s call center. “It rewards our reps and raises awareness of the importance of customer service.” Customer Service Week events were organized by call center trainers Dedra White and Suzette Martin. Celebration events included:

• Monday, Oct.4 was Red Carpet Royalty Day. Employees were given a royal treatment, including a red carpet and rose petals at the door and breakfast for all. Employees also enjoyed hand massages by cosmetology students, and were given sparkling grape Spritzers, chocolate covered strawberries, and goodie bags.

Tuesday, Oct. 5 was Champions Spirit Day. Employees showed their team spirit and decorated the office with streamers, balloons and spirit sticks.

Wednesday, Oct. 6 was Wacky/Wild Costume & Talent Day. Employees wore costumes, or shared some hidden talents.

Thursday, Oct. 7 was Thankful Thursday. Employees wore clothing displaying autumn colors. November is National Homeless Awareness month, so employees were asked to bring nonperishable items to donate.

Friday, Oct. 8 was Fiesta Friday. Employees wore red, and the office was decorated with Latino décor. Lunch included Mexican food.
