Men of Honor visit Clear Brook High School

On a recent visit to Clear Brook High School (CBHS), the San Jacinto College Men of Honor gave a presentation for a group of CBHS junior and senior students about the organization and how to join.

San Jacinto College shared educational planner, Alexis Alexander, organized the lunch and learn event at CBHS. The lunch and learn presentation consisted of the Men of Honor role call, information about membership requirements, scholarship opportunities, resources provided by the organization, the importance of having a mentor, and a few student success testimonials by a few of the Men of Honor members.

Now at all three campuses, the Men of Honor program is a mentoring program available to all San Jacinto College male students, offering guidance, encouragement, and support. Some activities include regular meetings, guest speaker forums, community service projects, and participation in regional, state, and national conferences. The program also incorporates some academic coursework. For more information on the Men of Honor program, contact program director, Ron Hopkins at ronald.hopkins@sjcd.edu.
