AAWCC Service Project: Donate Books to the Children’s Center!

The American Association for Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) is leading a service project this year to donate books to the Children’s Center on each campus.

We need your help! To participate, please consider purchasing new books or donating books from your own collections. Books should be new or gently used (no tears, no markings, little wear), and should be appropriate for children ages 0 – 6. Please note that the Children’s Center directors have especially requested the following:

Books for infants / toddlers
Board books
Cloth books
Animal books
Real life picture books
Multicultural or diversity books

If you have books to donate, please bring them to the AAWCC meetings on February 12 or April  16. If you are unable to attend those meetings, you may also drop them off to the designated AAWCC member on your campus:

Central: Tracy Timmons (Library)
District: Ann Kokx-Templet (Purchasing Office)or Vanessa Salazar (Grants Management)
North: Lyn Garner (Library)
South: Jane Stimpson (Library) or Shaterica Washington  (S-13.117)

If you have any questions about the project or about getting involved, please contact Jane Stimpson at jane.stimpson@sjcd.edu, or at extension 3307.
