Campus Carry Gun Exclusion Zone Request Form 

As you are aware, Texas Senate Bill 11, also known as the Campus Carry law, went into effect for all community colleges in Texas, including San Jacinto College, on August 1, 2017. The law, passed by Texas legislators and signed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott during the 84th Legislative Session, requires the San Jacinto College Board of Trustees to adopt a policy that does not generally prohibit license to carry holders from carrying a concealed weapon on campus, but does allow for certain areas or activities of the College to be exclusion zones where no concealed carry is allowed. Policy III.3000A, Campus Carry was adopted by the San Jacinto College Board of Trustees on June 5, 2017 to comply with the Texas law. (More …)
