November Board of Trustees meeting highlights

Congratulations to three members of the San Jacinto College marketing, public relations, and government affairs office for winning a National Council for Marketing and Public Relations Medallion Award!

The Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at a community college. It is the only regional competition of its kind that honors excellence exclusively among marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges. Categories include things such as printed publications, advertising campaigns, website design, news stories, feature stories, and photography.

Rob Vanya earned a bronze Medallion Award for his general news story titled “San Jacinto College students hit the battlefield.” Jeannie Peng-Armao earned a silver award for her communications success story “Daniel’s Story.” And Joshua Wilson earned a gold Medallion Award for the 2012 Report to the Community and Popular Annual Financial Report.
