Good times at the 50th Anniversary Picnic

A good time was had by all at the San Jacinto College 50th Anniversary employee picnic, held on April 14.

Chancellor Dr. Brenda Hellyer, along with her husband Rusty, greeted and mingled with employees and their friends and relatives. The Hellyer’s boy Riley joined with other little ones romping around on huge inflatable play stations.

Dr. Richard Bailey (35 years of dedicated service), Scott Horstman (25 years of dedicated service), and many others, received their service award ribbons.

Josh Johnson enjoyed watching his young ones with the animals at the petting zoo.

Nicole Darland brought her precious little one along with her.

Bill Dickerson wowed folks with his karaoke singing.

On a dare by Leslie Horton, Roy Parisher scrambled to the top of the ginormous rock wall (and Roy didn’t even break a sweat)!

Everyone loved the delicious cakes prepared by Ernest Becerra and his assistants.

At the request of a visitor, Dr. David LeMaster autographed a copy of the beautiful SJC 50th Anniversary book “Reaching for Tomorrow,” which was on sale at the campus bookstore (and is available for purchase at all 3 campus bookstores).

Kudos to the group who helped put together the really fun event —
