    North campus hosts African-American Read-in

In conjunction with Black History Month, the North campus recently hosted an African-American Read-in that showcased selected well-known works of African-American literature and poetry. Kudos to coordinator Sandra Curry, emcee Lamar McWaine, and everyone who helped make the informative and inspirational event a tremendous success. The North campus culinary arts department, under the direction of Steve Rudd, Sean Perrodin, Donna Jones, and Timothy Banks, provided delicious soul food that included spicy fried chicken, collard greens, purple-hull peas, and cornbread. Music department chair Dr. Randy Snyder and student musicians entertained with live jazz music.
