From Nelson Carter
I know you’ve all been busy with the phone system and we wanted to take a minute and thank you for your work on that.
I know the word “slammed” doesn’t adequately describe the last couple weeks you guys must have had. I’m sure you’ve probably been working almost non-stop since last week and I wouldn’t be surprised if you guys worked all weekend. Maybe even for the last couple of weekends. Thank you for your efforts!
Considering the number of phones and the scale of the job, we think all of you IT folks are awesome to have come this far! You should all be really proud of yourselves for the work you’ve done. I don’t mean to run-on, and I promise I won’t suggest we all hold hands and sing “Kumbaya”–I’m just sure you’ve overcome many difficult challenges and may have dealt with some difficult customers so I wanted you to hear from some satisfied ones: as far as Sharon and I are concerned, our phones are working great! That’s the case with most, if not all, of the whole Math Department at central and I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say thank you!
