San Jacinto College remains closed through Sunday, August 27, 2017, and will continue to monitor the weather related to Tropical Storm Harvey. It is the intention of College administration to make a decision regarding Monday classes by Sunday evening. San Jacinto College also consults with our district school partners on school and college closings.

Students can still register and pay for fall classes online through Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Registration is also open for Take 2 classes that begin on Monday, September 11, 2017.

The National Weather Service in Houston – Galveston is predicting heavy rainfall and potential flooding across our area through Tuesday. Students and employees should closely monitor this forecast daily and have an individual plan for tropical weather and flooding for themselves and their families. Do not drive through flooded roadways. In addition, our area is under a tornado watch until 2 a.m., Sunday morning.

Communication updates regarding the weather and the impact it may have on College operations, including class schedules and fall registration, will be distributed through email, and SJC AlertMe will be activated. Information will also be provided on the College website, on the emergency notification line at 1-888-845-5288, and through the College’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts. If you have not already done so, please log in to your SJC AlertMe account and verify that your contact information is correct.
